Happy New Year!

I hope that everyone had a happy and healthy holiday break. Happy New Year to all of you! I have a photograph mystery on my hands--I cannot find the pictures I took at our party on December 21st, and I have looked everywhere! So frustrating...so I will look again at school tomorrow, and I will post when (if) I find them. I do have a few pictures to share from other happenings in the few days before the vacation.
Did your first grader deliver the gift they made for you? I think they turned out very well! But, just in case it didn't make it home over vacation, I won't reveal any further information. They sure did have fun wrapping them!
I gave students a little gift, and I wrapped it up in a big box with 19 bows! We had lots of fun opening it!
Finally, I promised to post a video with snippets from our holiday sing-along, and here it is (below). I created it on the LONG car drive to Michigan with my family. It just took me a while to get around to posting it. I figured some of you might like to hear some of it. The video quality is not great, as the lights were out in the gym in order to help students see the Powerpoint presentation on the screen, created by Ms. Mutz.

Happy 2013!!!

  1. I was so delighted to see this video of the 2012 Sing-Along! I hope you don't mind that I also added it to my Music blog. I tried to record it, but that did not work. I love how you had snippets of many of the songs. Even though it is dark a lot, what is very bright is how wonderful all the students sound. THANK YOU, MRS. SORENSON!!!!!

I am glad you saw this video and that you added it to your blog! What a wonderful sing-along we had--it's always one of my favorite events of the year. Thanks for all you do to help children prepare for it!
