Many students are eager to start our homework routine. I am happy about their enthusiasm, but I won't start sending homework for a couple more weeks. I like to explain our homework procedures, rationale, etc. at the First Grade Curriculum Night, which will take place on Wednesday, September 29th. Therefore, homework will not begin until Monday, October 4th. Homework is always sent home on Monday and is due on Friday.Also, our volunteer-run reading program will not begin until early October. Our training for reading program volunteers will follow our curriculum presentation on September 29th. I am happy to have lots of volunteers this year, but there's always room for more! :-)
