Students were given a cooperation challenge last week. I gave groups of 4 or 5 children each a puzzle piece to color and then fit together to form a letter. We then took the finished puzzle letters to spell a mystery word: BEAR (to go along with our school theme that I've written about recently). Working cooperatively took effort and practice. We will keep doing team-oriented activities to build this important skill during first grade! I will post a photo of the finished product soon.
