Open House
Just a reminder that the UMS Open House is this Thursday, October 4th from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Please plan to attend if at all possible. Your child will show you around the room and tell you about what's been happening in first grade so far! Please also plan to visit the unified arts teachers--Mrs. Flanagan, Mrs. Derry, Ms. Mutz, and Mr. Traquair!
Gum in School?!
Have you heard about chewing gum during our SWR check-ups? If not, ask your child. This is a fun Friday tradition in first grade, and I really do think it helps children focus during their spelling quizzes. If you think of it when you're at the store, could you pick up an extra package or two of sugar-free gum? We go through 19 pieces a week, so our supply is quickly dwindling. Thank you!
