We spent last week reviewing previous SWR skills that were not yet secure for most students. The "Magic e" spelling rule and sentence punctuation rules have been tricky. I used my magic wand to turn short vowel words into long vowel "Magic e" words, and we used the Smartboard to unscramble mixed-up sentences and apply correct punctuation to them. This week, we will learn about words with l-blends at the beginning (bl, cl, fl, gl, pl, sl).
