Much of our math time this week was spent practicing counting pennies and nickels. Students practiced in a variety of ways--through Smartboard demonstrations, playing Penny-Nickel Exchange, using real coins to practice exchanging pennies for nickels, and completing math journal pages (as shown in the photos below). Next week's homework will provide additional practice of these important skills.
