Community Paper!

We made community paper last week for a special "Fun Friday" activity. This was a great exercise in working together towards a common goal--creating beautiful paper to use for future classroom art projects! Students were invited to visit one or both painting tables during our art-related free choice time. One table had warm-colored paint and the other had cool-colored paint. Students were able to use a variety of fun painting tools to add texture and variation to our painted paper. This type of paper is great for making collages. We will make more community paper next week for our collection, and we will be doing a special collage project.

  1. Love this Mrs. S! What a great idea. I may have to use it with my first grade students in Michigan... by the way- I LOVE the loft in your room! We must talk! I would love to have something like that in my classroom to create more space!
    You are an amazing teacher!
    Hugs-
    Mrs. Doran from MI.
