Hooray! I just arranged our first Skype visitor--Natasha Wing, author of several children's books. Click here to visit her website. We have read several of her books in class--The Night Before First Grade, The Night Before Halloween, The Night Before Thanksgiving, and others. We have a Skype appointment next Wednesday for Ms. Wing to read The Night Before St. Patrick's Day to us.
I have arranged for Ms. Wing to sign copies of the St. Patrick's Day book for anyone who would like to purchase one. They are $4.25. If you'd like to order it, please let me know as soon as possible. You can send cash or a check (written to me, as I will send the total amount to her with one check). Just put it in your child's green folder. I will give her our total number of books next Friday, March 9th. I hope they're here in time for St. Patrick's Day!
I plan to read more of her books after her Skype visit, since we'll now I have personal connection to this author. I'm in the process of finding more authors to Skype with us. So fun!
