Reviewing is fun!

We spent some time on Thursday reviewing key math skills highlighted in Unit 2 of our math program. We did a worksheet to review telling time to the hour as a "brain warm up" activity. We then played Time BINGO to review in a game format. Students also did an activity called "Pumpkin Jumble," which was a way to practice collecting data (dice rolls) with tally marks and counting tallies. If you're curious to see what this looked like, here are the links (and I know I have some teacher friends who check our blog who may want to use these resources). :-)

Students explored our Base 10 blocks on Friday, which will be used for many learning activities to help understand place value. The birthday boy wrote a message using these blocks--explore time is a time to touch and play with these materials BEFORE using them for a mathematical purpose! :-)
