Reading Workshop has officially begun! On Friday, I taught students the structure of our Reading Workshop--a mini-lesson, guided/independent practice time, then sharing circle. There are more components, but we are starting small and building from there. My mini-lesson on Friday was "Three Ways to Read a Book" (see anchor chart below). Students did a wonderful job of listening during the lesson, reading a book in one of the three ways, and then sharing about what they did afterward. I have a good feeling about Reading Workshop this year, and it's barely started!
