Games are an important way that first graders develop early math skills. Ask your child to tell you about the "Leaf Mat." Which number should go on the large leaf? Which should go on the small leaf? I also taught students how to play an Everyday Math game called "Before and After." I will post directions to play at home, as this is a great way to practice number sense. Stay tuned!
